A wonderfully characterful set of six vintage hand-painted wooden folk figures, each individually decorated with expressive faces, painted clothing and tiny details.
The figures appear to be mid-20th-century folk-art or export pieces, probably dating from around the 1950s–70s. Their simple turned wooden construction and naïve hand-painted finish give them a particularly charming vintage character.
No maker’s marks or country-of-origin stamps are present, so we are deliberately leaving the attribution open rather than assigning them to a specific workshop or region.
Best displayed together as a complete group.
Condition: Good vintage condition with small areas of paint wear and rubbing consistent with age.
