A fascinating vintage laboratory molecular model kit dating from around the 1950s–60s, with coloured atomic balls and connecting rods housed in its original wooden box.
Known as a ball-and-stick model set, kits like this were used to build three-dimensional representations of molecules for teaching and scientific study. Today it is a striking piece of scientific history as well as a wonderfully graphic display object.
